Prudence Chavula

Executive Director

Luke Bulla - M&E Officer

He holds a degree in Natural Resources Management obtained in 2015 from the University of Malawi and is of 32 years old with over 8 years of experience in social work, AGYW programming, project management and research. He joined Go Fund a Girl Child as a volunteer staff member in 2015 and served as a Program Officer and MEAL Officer. He has been planning, implementing and monitoring the organization’s interventions. Besides working with the organization, he worked as a social worker with Byounique trust where he contributed to crime reduction while working with children in conflict with the law, young offenders and children at risk of committing crimes and guardians on behavior change and parenting.

He has vast experience in data collection, including censuses, surveys, assessments, and studies of both qualitative and quantitative data, as well as data entry and analysis. He has worked with CARE Malawi and IFPRI in Titukulane project, with United Purpose, now Self-help Africa in the Prosper and Echo Covax projects. He also worked with Kamuzu University of Health Sciences as a field supervisor in the Malaria vaccine study, did Social and environmental impact screenings with Nature consultant and also mapped hotspot areas for AGYW in 4 districts with World Vision.

He has been an impact anchor for Campaign for Female Education’s (Camfed) programs, monitoring many districts where Camfed was implementing its program. He once sourced school fees for 49 students and he aspires to see youths who are empowered economically and socially and contribute positively to society.

Tamandani Chitawo - Programs Officer

Tamandani Chitawo is a dedicated gender professional and specialist with a strong passion for gender equality, women empowerment and combating gender based violence (GBV). With a Bachelor’s degree in social science gender studies from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College (2022), Tamandani has a solid background in gender studies.
Tamandani is trained in Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and she is a Certified Peer Educator With experience in promoting gender equality, empowering women and girls and combating gender-based violence.

Interest in Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW)

Through her work with AGYW, Tamandani has seen firsthand the challenges they face, which include poverty and limited access to education. But she has also seen their strength, resilience and determination. This has motivated Tamandani to continue supporting and advocating for their rights and empowerment. Tamandani’s motivation is because AGYW face many challenges that hinder them from achieving their goals and dreams. She is committed to walking alongside them, supporting and guide them to overcome these obstacles and unlock their full potential.

Dyness Mlinda - MEARL Assistant

I’m Dyness Mlinda, I hold a bachelor of social science Gender studies obtained from the university of Malawi in 2023.

My passion for Gender equality has led me to work with organisations dedicated to empowering women and children.

I started as an intern at Go Fund a Girl Child and currently gaining further experience through government internship with the department of Gender where I engage in policy implementation and community development efforts
